A writing workshop is the perfect opportunity to receive constructive criticism on a poem or a story you are looking to take to the next level. It is also a great way to learn about the different elements of what makes a strong story or poem. Writers can hone their craft while also learning from other writers who are trying to better their work. I am pleased to announce that in June we will be hosting our first virtual writing workshop.
The way it works:
We will send each other our writing samples prior to meeting and read them in advance.
We will then make comments on what we think of the piece. What works. What doesn't. What can be stronger.
Then, we will meet via Zoom on June 3rd from 1900-2200 EST to discuss our comments.
Writers can expect to receive precise feedback for future revisions of their work.
Who can apply?
We are limiting our first workshop to 5 writers. First come, first serve.
Open to writers of ALL levels of experience. Beginners are welcome. This will be as much about learning how to analyze a piece of writing as it will be to critique each other.
We will accept poetry, fiction, and nonfiction.
Writing Sample Criteria
