    2022

    in Denver

Happy New Year tribe! I hope the transition from 2021 to 2022 is going well for you! I’m excited for this year and all we will do. Allegiance Ranch hosts a bonfire the first Friday of every month at sunset. They provide food and drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic) and sometimes invite guest speakers. Mainly, it’s a safe space for veterans to come and enjoy some fireside conversations and to network. The ranch has graciously invited us to attend these events. I plan on being there on March 4th. The bonfire starts at sunset, so 1830. I hope to see you there!

https://allegianceranch.org 3448 Co Rd 4, Erie CO 80516 There are a lot of exciting things happening with PB this year. The book club has already hit the ground running and if you’re not on their email list or haven’t visited the forum yet I highly suggest it. The PB has also hired its first Chief Development Officer and is almost done finalizing the Board of Directors. I don’t know how many retreats in Montana we are having this year but anticipate it being more than last year (4). Hobby based and locally based squad leaders are in charge of planning and executing those. Tom has suggested having regional retreats with multiple clubs or a retreat where the hunting club or fly fishing club gets the grub and the chefs club makes it all fancy. When I know more I’ll be sure to pass it along asap. I would like to plan a camping trip this summer as well with other regional squads. Salt Lake City UT and Cheyenne WY chapters are actively involved in their communities and it would be awesome to get everyone together for some campfire conversations. Is anyone on board with that? I would also like to get our chapter members out towards the western slope more involved this year by hosting events nearer to them. I’m not sure what this looks like yet and I imagine it’ll be some hiking or camping, maybe a weekend getaway type thing. As a reminder, one of our local chapter members Steve Bennett is the Fly Fishing Club captain. Whether you’ve fished your whole life or never had waders on Steve is the man to get a hold of. His number is 330.406.8862.
